man we once created a commission to find useless laws to abolish and they managed to ask for new laws and rules to identify which laws and rules were useless.

it's basically an agency that takes "all the time in the world" to manage the assets and contracts (and employees) of dissolved agencies/public entities. In some cases it took 40 years to close everything.

I think it is a thing from the first episode of Yes, Minister in style (I have seen a paper that claimed that public choice and YM destroyed quality of civil services).
