The more I read about Boeing, the more I feel like that company is a great brand whose veneer hides years of poor engineering and over-financialized rot.

Oh yeah, this was cheaping out and using a chipset that only had a 16-bit counter, so they got into integer overflow, I think?

Don’t know myself but there may have been an Indian consulting firm in there somewhere (fault of USA company to be clear).
