I’m hearing Cuomo say that we’ve set up restrictions on nursing homes. “No visitors!” Nursing homes are full of very lowly paid often disgruntled workers. Our hospitals don’t have proper PPE and nursing home workers will? Plus nursing homes are often owned by big corporations
and private equity companies who are not the best managed. I’m deeeeeply skeptical we can stop the spread to nursing homes based on my experience (mostly horrifying) with them.
Cuomo may be wrong about this but generally I have not encountered a government official who is better at addressing this than he is. He gets it better than any other government bureaucrat or elected official.
