Ha. That's a reasonable conclusion, I guess, though I do come back to the idea that some reporters there are likely amazing. Others, not so much. Kinda like: "What's the difference between Harvard and College X?" "There are dumb people at Harvard -- just a smaller %."

The job makes it very difficult for them to achieve mastery in any subject besides journalism (makes sense right?). Kind of like you analyzed in that app tweet, there is no incentive for them to dig down deep and get it perfectly right.
