Nothing earth shattering here, but figured I'd lay it out anyways: 1. Software is not first-lien debt. That guy is just a great salesman. 2. Some software is mission critical. By and large, most companies' software is not mission critical. Just because software is mission
critical, does not mean it is not negotiable. 3. I'm an operator. Most of the software that my fellow operators pay for is FAR from necessary and the plug will be pulled on it fast. E-mail client and spreadsheets are pretty damn good.
