On a separate note, it is beyond me how they could be going bust right now, as e-commerce demand has skyrocketed, but hey, that's the USPS. Grossly incompetent. That said, we need package delivery to continue.

They are like the only organization in the world required to actually fund their pension programs. As far as I am aware, they would be making big profits if not for that requirement.
Let them shut down and get replaced with with an efficient market replacement. USPS loses tens of Billions with a B. Keeping them around do deliver stuff while losing billions isnt the answer. We can take that same money and fund less incompetent companies who might not suck.
Sure but during the collapse, who delivers food and other essential items? Needs to be a managed wind down in order to not cause big problems, unlike theaters and airlines.
