Singapore afaict was not be strict enough with testing. They were just doing contact tracing well. I think my pinned tweet is not that bad for the economy. The problem is that it requires competence that the USA does not seem to have.

I think they'll do mass testing as soon as capacity comes online. That's what's missing. As a side note, I was on the fence before this event. Now I'm confident that countries should subsidize domestic manufacturing for national security reasons. Protect that tail end.
