That is not how the 1970s worked out.
Was there actually a monetary expansion in the 1970s? I thought the inflation was driven the expectation of future inflation and an oil shock. This seems different - it's the expectation of inflation, meets fear of deflation, meets huge monetary expansion.

There was a monumental Keynesian expansion in the 1960s. Stagflation started to emerge prior to the oil shocks.
