If all 50 states went to war, who would be your top 4 contenders to win that war and why?

This is tough. What constitutes “winning”? In this scenario are we assuming that every state takes an immediate and irreversible “every state for themselves” stance? And if so, are states allowed to ally themselves with other nations?pic.twitter.com/xEQXCUUTZZ

Don’t know. Yes. They can trade with outside nations.

Oh. Then this is easy. Alaska. Full stop. There is no advantage that another state possesses that Alaska doesn’t.

Nope. I think Texas would wipe out the other 48 and then go for Alaska last. No population.

In that environment? Congratulations Texas, you have Operation Barbarossa meets Tet Offensive.

Cmon. At that point the winner would have 47 (Hawaii lol) other states in tow

Yeah and Alaskan guerrilla warfare causes them to bleed lives for decades, until they finally sue for peace or leave. Alaska is too rugged and large to effectively blockade it from the outside world. You couldn’t secure the land border. Same as Afghanistan & Vietnam.

Look at the entire developed Western world vs some dudes in mountains and caves for the last 18 years. It becomes a war of attrition with a population that you’re going to have a difficult time integrating with. Their small population makes it very difficult to gather intel.

Alaska is closer and we didn’t commit to Afghanistan like we had to to win 100% plus Alaska has way fewer people than Afghan and Vietnam. Way fewer.

Not only that, the initial invasion is going to be incredibly painful. Alaska has been watching and learning and stockpiling for this for however long it takes Texas to secure the lower 48.
