I think any employee who does that will regret it in a few months. It’s really myopic to take unemployment over a job, not only economically but for one’s own sense of purpose.
It’s not right for everyone. I’ve done enough of it myself to know how hard it is. There are aspects of it I really like (I genuinely enjoy unloading most containers and figuring out how to do things faster, there’s a long list) and aspects I don’t. For a lot of people it’s an

Opportunity for a better life. And even for those who 100% dislike it, it’s better for your psychology then sitting on your ass and watching tv all day. That can be really bad for people. So, not an easy job, but I stand by the sense of purpose comment.
