Having CEO’ed through two recessions now, I can tell you: Survival mode for a company means you do less — Usually with less And those reduced ambitions mean a lot less work — and kinda boring in comparison.
We’re trying to do the “when others are fearful be greedy” approach and it feels like we’re psychologically swimming upstream. It feels like there is a lot of momentum behind taking it easy right now.

I think it’s early I’ve been working on a post matching the Five Stages of Grief to what we’re experiencing My belief is we’re passing out of “anger” into “bargaining.” Opportunities won’t come until we get to “Depression” or “Acceptance.” Need to finish that up!
