We extended an above-market 3 day a week part-time job offer to someone we were hoping could help us in the warehouse. Despite being out of work, they turned it down because their husband is getting $950/week on unemployment and they believe a $3400 stimulus check is on the way.
I'm not mad. I'm disappointed and flummoxed. It's a bad economy and this is a good opportunity generally and especially considering the circumstances. You don't know our operations so don't tell me what is and is not a hazard.

There are stay at home orders across most of the country. Anything that requires you to go outside and work around other people is hazardous. And even if you don't believe that, many people do and you will have to pay them more to induce them to work. Welcome to the free market

It has nothing to do with the hazard, there is no stay-at-home order where we are, and our business is essential. I am aware of how the free market works.
