Partial point of this is to make people feel secure not working so they're not incentivized to go outside. Seems like it's working and that companies will need to offer even more if they expect people to take on the risk of contracting it and passing it on to loved ones.
If they’re not essential they’re working from home and have no risk of infecting anyone new. If they’re essential, they’re literally essential and we need them to work. unemployment benefits arent designed to deter infection. Their designed to help people pay expenses.
