I wonder how many things might be manufactured domestically now that we're experiencing some of the major risks in offshoring. Maybe a lot. Maybe nothing.

The government mandating it is very plausible now. The crisis has revealed the risks of global supply chains for essential items. Running out of masks and gloves is now an obvious national security issue. Hopefully it’s clear that it’s not just those things.
