I’m skeptical on this. Istanbul is a hub with 15m-ish ppl, first announced case on 3/11, was slow to lock down. City is teeming with socialized stray cats, way more than any large city on earth. If cats could transmit, you’d assume numbers there would be gigantic?
People think this is funny, but it's really not. If cats can get, and importantly, pass the virus on that's a really serious problem. It makes quarantining even more difficult. I have no idea, but my wife was saying the same thing about Italy ironically. That they have a ton of stray cats.
