Nalaxone is used to stop heroin ODs. If I were the surgeon general of the USA, one who just killed a ton of people with stupid advice, I wouldn’t cross-market our inability to address the pandemic with our pathetic multi year failure to stop the opioid epidemic in this country.

This has been said many times but all of this is after spending 20% of the GDP in healthcare. In theory i think it's easier to fix a system which is well funded but poorly managed. But proposed solutions are mostly about how to dump more money into it. So idk what to think.

Yeah a giant turnover is overdue. And not just in healthcare. But i'm not sure how will it happen. I'm increasingly of the belief that smart people in this country gravitate away from govt. So either that needs to change or somehow private entities need to step up.

We just need to change up our laws. Totally possible. There is still no better place for non-Chinese smart ambitious people than America.

Yes but who will drive that change? Or you mean others than professional politicians will be the driving force behind policy making? Yes i totally agree but my point is none of them end up in govt.
