My first take is that this is a good move. We are in a national crisis, we need PPE. In terms of retaliation, from what I can tell we are mostly importing medical equipment from China, who probably will not retaliate.

The important caveat to the above is that now the decisions of which foreign countries receive our PPE will be made by our current criminal administration.
