Heard from a friend in China that manufacturers are selling masks to Europeans who are outbidding American importers. American importers are terrified of being attacked for price gouging so won’t pay market rates for emergency production of PPE.
Fact. We fear price gouging closure from big tech like Amazon, seizure, lack of clarity from FDA. It's insane how much our government is getting in the way here.
Note that Amazon is being aggressive on price gouging at least in part because of the government.
