My general feeling is that they're obviously bullshit. How bullshit they are is a question, but who cares? Let's just look at data from other countries at this point.

There are so many other countries outside of china that have big problems that we can look to for that. China lies about the numbers. They, at gov't level, lie about what they're doing. It's just a giant headache. Now, before you paint me as an American jingoist (I read minds),
