I agree that Europe is more dense than the US. But say we cut out Russia & Alaska. How much more dense is Europe? Your superimposed image doesn’t look like that much more land mass once you shift down the Nordic countries. US investment is double. Density can’t explain it all
Europe ex-Russia I think is about 65% of the area of the United States ex-Alaska and has roughly double the people. I didn't say density explains it all. My point is it's more costly to service half the people in ~twice the area so don't attribute quality to money invested.
