Having seen how many fewer people are dying of our usual causes of death (car accidents, etc), I wonder how disrupted the drug supply chain has been. What’s the availability of marijuana, cocaine, and heroin right now?

Marijuana dispensaries are considered “essential services” in many of the states where it is legal. Just like the state lotteries. Why? Probably because the government wants the $$$.

Need it more than ever. Apparently they need a bailout to cover the state funded unemployment insurance.

They may need the money, but so do the other businesses shuttered by government fiat. The government really shouldn’t tell people to stay home, then keep their daily lottery drawings on schedule. How do you think most of these people are buying their lottery tickets? Going out.

Not to mention that the state lotteries give terrible odds - much worse than the casinos the states shuttered by executive order. What’s good for private industry should be good for the government, too.
