Hey @tobi, I'm a big fan of yours and Shopify, but I think the recent Shopify suppression of alleged "price-gouging" products is wrongheaded.
Without getting into the economic debate of whether or not higher prices spur greater supply, let's take a look.
First of all, my man Rick is right. Air shipping prices are skyrocketing because there are no passenger flights from China to USA/Canada right now. Those passenger flights carry cargo. Second, I'm in a group of about 375 Amazon sellers. In aggregate we do well over a billion dollars on the platform.
We all hate it and we love Shopify?
Why? Because Shopify doesn't usually do what was done here. They don't incorrectly interfere. I understand that @shopify wants
to do the right thing by stopping people from taking selfish advantage of the crisis we have in mask equipment right now, but a lot of innocent people get caught up in that when Shopify gets it wrong, as has happened here.
Can you have a member of your team take a look at @undauntedbrand's store and see what caused the misunderstanding? Thanks very much! Molson
