With proper equipment and measures (ie no close contact) construction can absolutely continue. Construction is done in open air. We don’t want to shut down more of the economy than is necessary. Dont get me wrong, govt has shit the bed, but this is logical.

The problem is the measures are not being followed in many cases -- and in some, being intentionally flouted.

I believe that. Our government is failing us. That said, construction should remain on the essential list. There should just be sensible rules in place and good enforcement, which we seem not to have.
