In the future, after this virus is gone, what is an acceptable virus death rate to shutdown the country? It seems like there is no acceptable rate.
That’s almost the wrong metric. Necessary hospitalizations vs hospital beds might be a better one.

810,000 hospitalizations for the flu in the 2017-2018 season. Not comparing Influenza to Covid-19, but there are a hell of a lot of causalities that have been ignored.

Yeah but 810,000 is 2,300 per day (yes it's seasonal) across the entire United States. We got over double that in NYC yesterday, plus flu.
