A crisis like this tells you who the real optimists are -- and who were the "Eeyores" who just went along with the flow.

I think we need to know more about this virus, I.e. permanent damage? Will it recur yearly like the flu? Etc. Then we need to know how the government attempts to address the economic situation. the cure will be worse than the disease? If those things turn ok, I’m optimistic.

100% on the data and facts. So much rumor and conjecture going around. Terrifying people.

This is my 4th one of these and 3rd as an adult. Maybe this is the same but feels different. Lots of lying from the top down compared to 2008, for example.

Just différent because of the bullshit from the top? This is my third but really first as an adult. This feels wayyyy worse than gfc

GFC was the same. We had no idea what was going on until retrospect. It felt like we were lied to less then and in 2001. But that might be confirmation bias on my behalf.

Didn’t have twitter then. Trump is unique but outside of him I think the media has always lied. We just didn’t have a good way of catching them or an alternative before.

Don't get me started. From "fake news" to a bunch of geeks puffing themselves up so they can get investors or "respect"...yeah it's a lot of bullshit.

And to be clear even though I’m calling that out it’s not like I’m different. Just another person with an agenda...or maybe I’m addicted to the dopamine drip.
