Not great! Things are finally smooth again, but I do want to tell you the journey of the last month. Thanks for asking. 1/

When we last left off, Buy Shipping was broken all day on the Friday before Valentine's Day. But it got fixed around 2:20 PM. (VDay is a major holiday for us.) Earlier that week, we had turned Prime off because Buy Shipping was forcing us to pay for FedEx 2Day Express. 2/

That was essentially fixed, and AMZ emailed us to say we should have more access to Ground & Home. We had turned Prime back. I made the decision that we could leave Prime on over the weekend, but it felt like a big risk. 3/

Over that weekend, I was logging into Seller Central and clicking "Buy Shipping" to check the results. FedEx was nowhere to be found as a shipping option. I get on the forums. I read that I have to change the Ship By day to Monday to see FedEx. I try that. It doesn't work. 4/

I file a support ticket. They reply fairly quickly and to say that I am not seeing FedEx because I do not have a phone number attached to my warehouse address. What? How could tat possibly be related? I don't even think that phone number field was there when I set this up. 5/

Anyway, I try it. It's surprisingly difficult! I realize that I need to create a fake warehouse, assign my shipping templates to it, then I can edit my real warehouse, add a phone number, and then assign my shipping template back to my real warehouse. It worked! 6/

FedEx Home and Ground are appearing again as options under Buy Shipping. Thank God. I have four small children at my ankles at this whole time and I can finally put down my laptop. I go to work Monday morning confident that we won't see any FedEx 2Day Express ship costs. 7/

You can guess what happened. We ship 20 packages. Avg ship cost: $20 each. They are all going FedEx Express. I sprint back to shipping. Stop! Stop! We are shipping on our own software using the API to interface with Buy Shipping. 8/

I open up an order in Seller Central and choose Buy Shipping. Home and Ground are options. Everything looks fine. It's only the API that's not working. We get on the forums. We file support tickets. We look at our code. We can't figure it out. 9/

We realize we're going to have to ship all of these manually. It was a total nightmare. We had 300 orders and not enough time. We're counting down the minutes til FedEx and UPS arrive. We actually got it all shipped. It was painful. 10/

So their system was good in amazon but the api was screwed up or was it an issue in your software? That sounds terrible man. I feel for you.

Well, something did change on their end, but we were able to fix it by changing our own API. It was actually the "Needs By" date. They send it to us, and we send it back, which doesn't really make sense. They told us to leave it blank, and then it started working again.
