I suspect a lot of it is due to government intervention and the belief that the govt is bailing out stocks.
Will be interesting to see what happens with markets/economies with the Greenspan/QE put stops working. It’s wild. We’ve got a pandemic and all anybody is thinking about is buying the dip.

People have a strong incentive to believe this is no big deal. This *always* happens in the market, and it's why stocks never drop straight down. People only gradually give up.

I’m scared of how our govt will react financially. The medical response has been terrible. Financial response likely to be similar. Who in the administration would be trusted to run point on this?
