China is really coming back to life. Lots of believable reports of more people living normal lives in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen. I'm optimistic that masks, reasonably strict social distancing, and a watchful eye for new outbreaks can work until we get a vaccine.

Do you think this is a sign things are getting better or China is just forcing people back to work to save their economy, which I do not fault them for? It is impossible to keep food on the table and the lights on when the workforce is quarantined.

Me too. They're doing a solid job now, but they could've done a much better job earlier. They need to cut out the "hiding negative news" shit that they ALWAYS engage in. Don't get me started on the USA though...

I hear you. You know how many cases the Philippines has? Duterte immediately stopped all flights from China immediately and deported 500 Chinese Nationals. Draconian? Yes. Did it nip the whole thing in the bud? Absolutely.

If I'm not mistaken there are multiple cases of people returning from the Philippines with the virus. 1 in Taiwan and 1 in Australia.
