Taiwan is also fairly warm. I'm optimistic transmission will slow in the summer.

Taiwan has a good playbook, but Táiwān is an island about the size of Maryland with 9th highest pop density (1,689/mi^2) = 20X higher than U.S. pop density (87/mi^2). A much different risk profile than U.S.

Taiwan also got lucky since mainland China stopped letting individual Chinese visit Taiwan since August 1st 2019.

True, but with outbreaks in South Korea and Japan (underreported), they've still managed to do quite a good job.
