Wait, did he just say that black voters in the south are low information voters and then attempt to clean it up?

Dude need to stop while he’s way behind.https://twitter.com/ctblogger/status/1235572637197193218 …

Sorry. He’s a career politician who understands the nature of this campaign and the need to choose words carefully. He could’ve phrased that very differently and not come off as insulting to those who voted for Biden.

He said that black voters, because it was a multi person race where it is challenging to know everything about every candidate, voted for Biden because of Obama. He said that in a one on one race, those voters would know more and would realize Bernie has a better race record.

You accuse deblasio of a lot of stuff, but pretty hard to pull off “prejudiced against black people”, imho.

Maybe not prejudiced, but as someone who knows many influential black leaders across New York City, significantly discounted after he became Mayor isn’t often a stretch.

Yeah, that’s because deblasio sucks. I don’t think he goes out of his way to suck more for black people. And you’re right, he could’ve phrased it better, but whether or not you are prejudiced is like 1000x more important than whether what you said could be construed as such.

Don’t think anyone made the claim it was prejudiced. However, in the true form of many Bernie supporters it came across biased and insulting toward Biden’s southern
#SuperTuesday black electorate. He knows better!1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
