Determining the expertise of the person making the analysis is a shortcut for people who don’t want to think through the assertions, step by step.
Is there even such thing as a #COVID19 expert? What would you have studied? 1918 influenza and SARS? It’s a totally new species.
Whether it’s alleged 27 day incubation periods or reinfection, there is so much we don’t know. Therefore I don’t think it’s wise to “say no big deal, low mortality” until we know more and from credible sources.
For things I know very well, most "experts" are complete buffoons; consensus is unreliable as hell.
If the space has filtering, look for those who have survived and thrived over a long period. There is no such person in virology.
