For everyone worried about coronavirus, I suggest you take a look at Thailand. They had almost 3 million tourists over the Chinese New Year. Cases initially spiked and then tapered off. Either containment or temperature worked to contain the virus. Total confirmed cases: 41

Disagree with how you interpreted the Thai data: https://twitter.com/molson_hart/status/1233580243232923649?s=21 …https://twitter.com/Molson_Hart/status/1233580243232923649 …

Molson Hart @Molson_HartTwo very worrying datapoints on#COVID19 First, check out Thailand's "viral pneumonia" cases under investigation. If Thailand has this many cases, then we can throw out the reduced sunlight/heat transmission hypothesis. Regular flu causes ARDS too. It's not uncommon. I don't think it's fair to assume they are all coronavirus. Malaysia’s health ministry earlier said six out of the 22 confirmed cases are Malaysians, and only two of them caught the virus locally. Maybe their data is garbage too.

My wife is a nurse at BDMS.bk. They silently changed the hospital code to prevent panic. She thought cases were low for a long time, until she realized what was going on. Only once the problem got big enough did they say the real number.

So she thinks it is spreading widely even today?

She isn't 100% sure yet. That viral pneumonia is very likely the real number, and it seems to be going exponential. We'll know one way or another soon, I guess.

Seems to be a normal seasonal trend. Has she been there more than one year?pic.twitter.com/RFEzQUXBGQ

Chiang Mai has more moving parts because they have serious air pollution starting February. In the chart Molson linked, case numbers are going exponentially up instead of more sideways-ish.

It’s a cumulative chart. Half have been discharged. No one has died.https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs11356-018-3284-4 …

Is there data on pneumonia admissions in the US in feb 2020 vs Feb 2019?

I tried looking for "flu admissions" by state and in Massachusetts they fell in the past week. That was the only thing I saw.
