Why do so many civic visions don’t get traction with people? The ones that fail do everything for everyone. Those that work are clear and require change from many status quo’s. Probably why San Antonio feels a city without vision now compared to 2010s “Decade of Downtown.”

I think all 3 require community approaches. So one group can’t do it. Perfect for gov’t to own. I like these three because they actually have very positive externalities. The people I know, for example, that “own” their physical appearance seem to perform better in life/work.

Ownership almost always increases performance, for sure. That said, this isn't exactly my area of expertise but this is my area of interest (I'm trying to get a Congressman to sponsor my e-commerce law). I think broad goals like that are nice but less effective than a narrow
