Yeah fair point, in Tokyo that would be not that bad. That said, it ain’t free and it ain’t compulsory.
Upside to testing: maybe better care if you have the bug? There’s no therapeutic formula Downside: 1: quarantine 2. Cost 3. Time waiting for test 4. Risk of infection during test Most rational people won’t opt in for it unless they are very worried about them succumbing.
