For everyone worried about coronavirus, I suggest you take a look at Thailand. They had almost 3 million tourists over the Chinese New Year. Cases initially spiked and then tapered off. Either containment or temperature worked to contain the virus. Total confirmed cases: 41

Disagree with how you interpreted the Thai data: https://twitter.com/molson_hart/status/1233580243232923649?s=21 …https://twitter.com/Molson_Hart/status/1233580243232923649 …

Molson Hart @Molson_HartTwo very worrying datapoints on#COVID19 First, check out Thailand's "viral pneumonia" cases under investigation. If Thailand has this many cases, then we can throw out the reduced sunlight/heat transmission hypothesis. Regular flu causes ARDS too. It's not uncommon. I don't think it's fair to assume they are all coronavirus. Malaysia’s health ministry earlier said six out of the 22 confirmed cases are Malaysians, and only two of them caught the virus locally. Maybe their data is garbage too.

Sure regular flu does but regular flu doesn’t go exponential this time of year and that’s what is happening in the graph. Notwithstanding the potential US incompetence/deliberate misinformation, Malaysia/Thailand are not transparency oriented countries.

Very interesting they were screening for this weeks before it was announced by anyone https://www.garda.com/crisis24/news-alerts/305891/thailand-second-confirmed-case-of-viral-pneumonia-reported-january-17-update-2 …pic.twitter.com/TEHzIgSFOh

Agreed. Tourism economy, so strong incentive to make Thailand look safe. When you have 1-2 cases, no downside to publicizing the data. Not so when you have 500-1000. FWIW: https://twitter.com/nythealth/status/1233610039283331072?s=21 …https://twitter.com/NYTHealth/status/1233610039283331072 …
