6. We're going to be hearing about the coronavirus for a long time. It takes time for one person to infect others and then once infections in an area or country reach critical mass the area will be shut down which will slow transmission, but likely not enough to contain it.

Another is to look up HIV by race and country. Something like 10% of white people can't get HIV, which is big when thinking about herd immunity. I think it's a big variable, for some diseases. They actually use race for screening some.

Okay, now we're in taboo waters. I had heard the opposite? That there were people in Africa who were HIV positive but couldn't get AIDS. Largest sample size in Africa of course, so it could just be that.
