Foolishly bought some $GRUB call options today on the rationale that if a) COVID-19 gets worse, people are going to order lots more delivery or b) it doesn't get worse, in which case it will benefit from equities rallying.

In China, I think that overall delivery volumes fell. Yes, delivery as a percentage went up, but total deliveries went down.

Interesting. Where can I see this data? Didn't realize it's available.

I don’t have data. It was just anecdotal in what I read. It passes the smell test right? Would you want to eat food that can be coughed on by delivery guy or chef after it’s cooked?

Yeah, makes sense, but I think people are lazy and will still get delivery. Lots of people can't/don't want to cook. I'd still get delivery, especially if it's well cooked.

Assuming I was worried I'd die from the coronavirus (increasingly looking like as a young person I'd be okay), I wouldn't touch delivery. I'd cook all my meals myself. I don't trust restaurants to practice good hygiene or keep their workers home if sick.
