Wouldn't it be ironic if China gets off relatively unscathed due to its draconian containment measures, while countries without political will or organization allow coronavirus to spread?

For the past decade, while China has quietly and diligently been improving their health, scientific, and educational infrastructure, the United States has been focused on issues like Caitlin Jenner’s gender. America’s success and exceptionalism was built on hard work and smarts.
As a country, we’ve deemphasized those values but kept our pride. Only a matter of time before we eat a slice of humble pie.
