Makes total sense. I’m about to launch my international shipping options riding on UPS Worldwide Economy, which can quote rates DDP (API or matrix) for around 42 countries. They do the exporting, I combine and ship to their domestic export site. Hopefully simplifies things.

But I wanted to alert you to other options, as my understanding is that this is a new UPS program that may make it easier to quote DDP rates prior to checkout and avoid the Canadian tax headache by shifting the burden. Not sure if it helps though.
Our experience is that ups looks good when they sel it to you but wait until your customers get it. If it’s ddp it should be fine however. Watch out for massive taxes and broker fees.
