Difference btw West & East Coast mentality re: money
East: Conflict of interest. If you have an investment in something, your word is less credible
West: Put your money where your mouth is. If you *don’t* have an investment in something, your word is less credible

This is not correct at all. I think people are misunderstanding east coast propensity for avoiding accusations of insider trading/stock manipulation. The disclosure that "i own this" is about that, not "you can't trust my opinion because i own this".
