Probably also a solid choice, but I was liking the idea of being able to make money regardless of what brand was popular at any given time. Seemed like more inherent anti-fragility / flexibility.
I don’t know much about liquor licensing, but presumably distributors aren’t some sort of 1000 year old charter. Others can come in no? I think luxury or booze brand is better

Depends on the state and the system. In Texas, these distributorships are a license to print money pretty much. As close to a monopoly due to regulation as you’ll find in the US.
