Probably also a solid choice, but I was liking the idea of being able to make money regardless of what brand was popular at any given time. Seemed like more inherent anti-fragility / flexibility.

I don’t know much about liquor licensing, but presumably distributors aren’t some sort of 1000 year old charter. Others can come in no? I think luxury or booze brand is better

The alcohol distributors are just incredible businesses. They are government mandated monopolies. The brands themselves are not allowed to distribute. They must hand over part of their margins by law. The amazing profitability of that business will endure as long as the laws do.
