On 3, I've seen a combo of Zoom+Slack+email hygiene+decent cheap teleconferencing hardware work miracles. All for a few hundred bucks a month/year. A #4 I'd add is that almost all small businesses have that one toxic employee who is bringing everyone else down.

Great suggestions. Re: 4, when you buy a new company, it's almost incumbent upon you to fire the worst employee.
