Girlfriend just got back from the doctor. She had a triglyceride/HDL ratio of 0.5, and a resting heart rate of 54.
She's basically going to live forever.
But at an LDL of 147, the doctor told her to cut back on meat.

Is there: 1 A low ratio which is dangerous, say, 0.1? 2 A tri level which is too low, regardless of ratio? 3 Even if a good ratio, say 1.0, the absolute amount of Tri (or even HDL) is too high? I think I asked a similar Q abt om6/3

Re 1 & 2, that would be unusual, but I don't know if bad. Re 3, it would be hard to have a high absolute amount at that ratio I think. Normal triglycerides are up to 150 and an HDL that high is almost unheard of.

Isn’t the study log(tg/hdl) not tg/hdl? Log(x) where x<1 are negative so she is literally off the charts. I am 50/83 tg/hdl (I don’t touch sugar). Who knows that will mean for me?
