Also, I forgot to mention that remote is seen as low status. This may change as it becomes more popular, but it feels like it won’t.

I think it's D, hire everybody in the same region, and make them come two or three days a month.

I think I proposed B as my ideal when we discussed this, and I stand by that for me personally as an employee. I now think the answer depends a lot on context. If you’re going to figure out remote, it should probably also be asynchronous, which means infrequent in person
