Facebook and Twitter are tech companies, not judges. We should let our robust court system alone decide who and what content can be published online.

Agreed with this, Facebook/Twitter shouldn’t be judging social media conversations either. But it’s hard for a government to monitor social media at scale, and a bit dicey. Should they have access to private convos? Private accounts? Ability to monitor all your data by default

Preventing violent attacks is a separate issue, but outside of that government should not monitor social media, especially not private conversations.
