Facebook and Twitter are tech companies, not judges. We should let our robust court system alone decide who and what content can be published online.
The normal funding process of the us court system, tax payer dollars. Social media should not be regulated by government, it should be judged. If I write something false and harmful about you, sue me. If I’m writing something obscene, arrest me.

Facebook and Twitter should not be suspending accounts or deleting posts as they are not good judges of when the right to free speech should be excepted.

Agreed with this, Facebook/Twitter shouldn’t be judging social media conversations either. But it’s hard for a government to monitor social media at scale, and a bit dicey. Should they have access to private convos? Private accounts? Ability to monitor all your data by default
