Why do people crave political power? Is it a feature or a bug?

How so?
Men (most politicians) crave political power because it attracts women. Political power attracts women by signaling good genes and the capacity to protect and provide for a family. Men need women and vice versa for procreation. Procreation is a feature, not a bug.

Anything that has existed for a long time is a feature, not a bug. Desire for political power has existed as long as history.
