Capital investment in the United States has been trending down since the 1980s despite historically low interest rates. Is this happening because the US has de-industrialized? Industry is the most dollar intensive type of investment and we don't do it anymore.pic.twitter.com/EZz2m4L2DP

Its also much easier to get huge amounts of VC money for your startup (according to SV folklore). So either people are investing elsewhere or they just dont and they have cash reserves (apple, google) or both.
