I think the premise of x% of revenue (I’d personally structure as % of profit) going to charity could work. It depends on whether that aligns with the business value prop and is worth more than the equivalent in marketing spend. I just haven’t seen anyone wearing toms for years

I have an irrational aversion to it which prevents me from considering it rationally. Founder of Tom's shoes, if you want to give shoes to people who can't get them (bullshit), just do it. You don't need to tell everyone you are.
